1.a) Basic Life Support Module



(a) Basic Assessment For Casualties 
Demonstrates proper safety assessment of an emergency situation (busy traffic, open flames, wild animals, etc)

(b) Giving Rescue Breaths
  • Tilts the head of the victim & do chin lifting to open the airway fully
  • Jaw thrust in victims with suspected neck injury
  • Demonstrate the correct way of giving rescue breaths in adults, children & infant
(c) Commence CPR & Recovery Position
  • Demonstrate the correct chest compressions in adult, infant and children
  • Able to finish 100 compressions in 1 minute (30 chest compressions with 2 effective rescue breaths per cycle

















    1. b) Choking Management Module










  • Able to differentiate between partial and complete obstruction
  • Demonstrate the correct way of doing back slaps on adult, children and infants
  • Demonstrate the correct way of doing abdominal thrusts or chest thrusts on adult, children or infant
  • Repeat entire sequence





2. First Aid Techniques Module
  • Able to identify the different type of bandages and the usage of each
  • Demonstrate the correct way to bandage different types of bleeding wound on various parts of the body
    -normal bleeding cuts or wounds
    -bleeding wound with protruding objects (use padding)
  • Demonstrate the ability to tie a reef knot
  • Demonstrate the ability to apply an arm sling to victims with upper limb injury




3. Personality Plus (Motivational Talk)

  • Based on Florence Littaeur's Personality Plus.
  • Students take a test of which the results would show a type of personality they most resemble.
  • Allows students to find out their personality, how to effective deal with others of different personalities.
  • Allows students to understand why some people act the way they do.
