How It All Began: The Start of a Life-Saving Mission
BLS Training School Tour started when PPIM CUCMS Student Chapter headed to Perak (Le Tour de Perak) in February 2008 and were invited to SMK TLDM, Lumut to teach the students about school preparedness program and Basic Life Support. The response from this program was overwhelming. Since then, we preceded with this program in a small scale project under our compulsory Young Mercy subject starting with SMK Bandar Damai Perdana, Cheras on 26 March 2008 and several other schools around Selangor which included SMK Wangsa Maju, SMK Setapak Indah and more.
The program obtained excellent feedback from the schools and were invited from other secondary schools around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Encouraged by these overwhelming invitations, we advanced to a higher phase under PPIM CUCMS Student Chapter and Student Council CUCMS 2010 in order to make this program a more formal one and well-known to the Malaysian society.

Our main mission is to raise awareness among secondary school students on the importance of basic life support in emergency conditions and develop their altruistic spirit as well as to raise health awareness among them.
Our other objectives include:
- To provide information on medical university education and lifestyle for the students
- To promote CUCMS as a competent medical university to the secondary school students in KL and Selangor area
- To boost the enthusiasm of the participants to succeed in life and achieve their goals.
- Introduce to participants a whole new way to be a fine individual and live better life as well as guiding them to have wholistic approach to be a healthier being.
Why secondary school students?
Our goal is to increase the awareness on the importance of basic life support especially in emergency conditions among Malaysian civilians. We intend to seed this awareness by teaching the skill towards the future Malaysian generation such as school students.
We have high belief in our potential to reach out to the secondary school students, build good rapport with them as well as teach them in a more engaging manner.
Our team members have committed all available resources to complete this task and with support from other parties, we can compliment our efforts with the best equipments available. Together with the module content which also includes motivational talks, we can plant the seeds for the betterment of the society.
